Park

Choose from one of the many lush tropical parks that Port Douglas has to offer.  Rex Smeal Park is the main park located in the heart of Port Douglas and only a short stroll away from St.Mary’s by the Sea church.  This large tropical park is perfectly positioned at the entrance of the inlet with spectacular sweeping views of the mountains, and out across the Coral Sea to Low Isles.  With the sound of the ocean in the background, the exotic palm trees and the grand old curtain fig tree makes this a popular choice for weddings of all sizes, when night falls this location can be transformed into a magical fairytale setting.

Rainforest

The world heritage listed ancient rainforests of the Daintree National Park are truly a magical setting for your rainforest wedding.  Be inspired by the amazing array of nature and wildlife and its glorious simplicity.  The very famous picturesque Mossman Gorge in the Daintree forest is only 20 minutes scenic drive from Port Douglas.  The 400 metre walking track running along the river makes it very accessible to reach the scattered timber viewing platforms over the cascading Mossman River.

Perfectly positioned on Four Mile Beach, the glass walled chapel enjoys stunning views over the Coral Sea.  Bathed in natural sunlight with a bell tower, stained glass inlays and tropical garden setting, the Crystal Chapel on the Beach provides a stunning venue which can accommodate up to 50 guests in air conditioned comfort. 

St. Mary’s by the Sea

The picturesque historical Church of St. Mary’s by the Sea is genuine local church built in 1880 for the fishing village of Port Douglas.  Set in a tropical park in the heart of Port Douglas, the historic church features a large glass alter window that looks out to the Coral Sea making this a truly spectacular setting.  St. Marys by the Sea is available for small intimate weddings or large family weddings, with seating for up to 100 guests.
